Sharing Joy Conference
Sharing joy conference was initiated by Mizero Care Organization to share end-year festivals with its beneficiaries who are youth with mental health-based isolation.
Sharing joy conference was initiated with a specific objective as folows;
The feeling of isolation breaks the social cohesion and integration into the community development. Sharing Joy Conference aims at freeing young people from isolation, rebuilding their hope and confidence for a bright future through psychotherapy services, boost their potentials and support their progressive participation in community development. During this conference, beneficiaries who completed recovering process are officially recognized as members of Mizero Care Club (MCC) while new beneficiaries are introduced for the healing process.
During this conference, MoC collaborates with Government institutions as well as development partners involved in health sector, civic engagement, inclusive education and youth empowerment, unity and peacebuilding. Representatives from organizations are expected in all editions of Sharing Joy Conference: Central government organizations such as Ministry of Youth (MINIYOUTH), Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE), Ministry of Health (MoH), Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), National Youth Council (NYC), Local government ( Districts of MoC Programs coverage area (Kicukiro, Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Nyamagabe, Huye, Kamonyi and Gicumbi), Civil society organization,
Development partners,
Faith-based organizations and Health Tech Hub start-ups.
In year 2013, at Sportsview Hotel, MoC host for the first time the sharing joy on 26th December with theme of “Fighting against isolation” during last and opening year festivals.
In year 2014, 26th of December, at Hill Top Hotel, the organization step forward for the second celebration of sharing joy with the theme of “Introspection”.
In year 2017, 26th of December, at Dove Hotel, in the sharing joy third edition celebration with the theme “Recovering process” and the graduation of 125 beneficiaries who underwent the program of Mizero Care joy project through psychotherapy services and other activities benefited from the organization.
The year 2022, 03rd of December, we celebrated the sharing joy fourth edition with the theme “Break the silence around mental health issues” and there was a graduation of 40 beneficiaries who passed through the program of Vugukire project through psychotherapy services and more 200 stakeholders participated at Norrsken Kigali House.
Thanks to educational, socio-economical and mental health programs, MoC strives to be a leading organization to address mental health issues caused by the consequences of 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
